Tonic

We have very little to share about Tonic. It's downtown and it's very rarely crowded. It’s a defacto hotel bar for the Westin/Convention Center.  It seems to be for people who don’t want to stray too far from their comfort zone even though they are in an entirely new and subjectively awesome city.  The food is nothing to write home about, but it’s serviceable. It's definitely on the expensive side for what it is. It seems like the kind of place that you go when you still want to feel slightly "classy" but Seviche and Bossa Nova are too crowded.

There's an average sized bar downstairs and a few tables. Nothing much was going on except for a group of very lively middle-aged men whooping it up and screaming like a wild bunch of drunken idiots. They were particularly obnoxious. There was an entire other bar upstairs that we didn't know about, but it seemed like even less was going on up there when we checked it out. However, it did look really nice upstairs, that counts for something, right?

If you're in the mood to go somewhere and pay slightly too much for alarmingly average food, drinks and service, this would be perfect for you.
