It's comprised of a small bar area with the tiniest of stages, a loungey back bar, and a small back patio. On a night with no events, it's populated by regulars. It has a very laid back atmosphere and it’s friendly. It’s the kind of place where someone can have a one person dance party and no one will blink an eye. You will have no trouble getting a seat and the service is always good.
On drag nights however, it can be packed to an uncomfortable level. J has been told by the doorman more than once to just push people out of the way. It's been worth it, but it's also been so claustrophobic that she had to leave. So, take your chances. You might see some really amazing and really weird drag or you might have a panic attack. J will fondly tell you the story of the Thanksgiving themed show that involved a blender, all the Turkey Day fixings, Wild Turkey, vomit, and Christina Aguilera.
In general, though, it's worth stopping in. You can always duck next door to Remedy if it's too busy or vice versa. If you're looking for pomp and flash, maybe try somewhere else. If you're looking for a good neighborhood bar with cheap drinks and friendly people, you're there.

A note on the photos: it's October, the decor is not normally so spooky, but maybe it should be!
