Walking into this bar which we had never been in, never heard of, and probably walked past without noticing hundreds of times, we were pretty impressed. The bar was cozy, the lights were the right amount of dim, and the bartender was attentive yet uninterested in bugging us. There is a sign behind the bar which says, “free pool AND free jukebox.” In all our travels, we have never seen a free jukebox. Now, it is a crappy internet jukebox, but what can you do? Side note: we are pretty sure that much like land lines and fax machines, a real jukebox is something that other people's kids will never know about.

There was a lot of space between the bar and the booths at the other side of the bar, which looked cozy and intimate. There were two pool tables, both in very nice condition. There was a DJ booth and what looked suspiciously like a go-go stage flanked between two giant nutcrackers.

We had a good time here; no distractions, nothing annoying. The place had a really relaxed and comfortable vibe, and a surprisingly good beer selection. The bartender was knowledgeable about their beers too, which is always a plus. It was a Monday night, so we can't speak to what it might be like on the weekend, but from what we saw this place gets two thumbs up. We strongly encourage you to check it out next time you are downtown and let us know what you find.
