It's not a hopping late night place and they close early. They seem to do most of their business during dinner hours. The food is traditional German fare with a full array of wursts, keilbasa and braunsweiger, served with sides of potato pancakes or potato salad. We both were pretty happy with the food we ate.
The bar is quite pretty with lots of wood and stained glass fixtures. They give you a basket of popcorn when you sit down, which we always love. The beer selection is small but adequate and your beer is served in a mason jar, which is fun.
There's a jukebox with a really odd assortment of CDs (Frank Sinatra, Marvin Gaye, and Avril Lavigne?) and a table top arcade game, but it still doesn't seem like the kind of place people really sit around and hang out. If you're in the neighborhood and looking for a bite to eat and maybe a drink or two, it’s worth a stop.
