Coppertops

Have you ever just wanted to take a bar, tear it out of the ground, and relocate it to a place that is really near you so you can go all the time? Coppertops is that bar for us. If you put it in the East End, it would probably not do as well financially, but it would make us very happy drinkers. And really, isn't that what is important?

This bar is beautiful. Check out the wood work, the plush booths, the exposed brick, the tasteful and interesting decor, the perfect lighting, and the personalized charm. Enough said? This place is what a bar is "supposed to" look like. Norman Rockwell would paint this bar. It is warm and inviting, and has a completely different vibe than any other bar in the South Side. On top of that, they promise shenanigans on their signage. SHENANIGANS! What a place.

You might think, "Oh, a place like that must be really expensive." Nope. That is not the case. A Riley is only $7. A shot of Jameson is only $4. The service was friendly, professional and prompt. The beer selection and food menu were well above average. Also, they have a fireplace for the winter (drops the mic.)

So, if you are ever in the South Side, and we all are from time to time, we highly recommend you stop by Coppertops. We are certainly looking forward to spending more time there in years to come.
